I like the novel version better. After the fight was over, MC told "the truth". He said that he was, in essence, a reincarnation, but not the same way that demon lord and Long Sha were. That the skill they used was evil and that there were different ways to go about it.

Not actually telling the "truth" but only explained that nie li is not using the same technique.

Now that's a battle to look forward to.
